Holiday-house “Dünenidyll” in Glowe (Rügen)

Our holiday-house ‘Dünenidyll’ is located in Glowe, which is right in the north of the island, where two peninsulas, called Jasmund and Wittow, almost meet and are separated only by a really small loch. Way back in the history of the island Glowe was a fishing village, which isn’t a surprise considering the location of the right in the middle of the Baltic Sea. Especially for those people, who are into nature, the island has quite a lot to offer with a variety of different animals, such as seals and gulls. As mentioned before it’s also just 350m to get to the ocean, which comes in handy for everyone whether it comes to observing aforesaid wildlife, going for a swim or just the obligatory afternoon stroll on the beach. Apart from enjoying nature and the beautiful landscape there are also quite a lot of things to do in the town centre like visiting the historic castle “Schloss Spycker”, which is definitely worth a visit due to its uniquely beautiful plastering and red coat of paint.
